Midfield battle with Bollington playing largely on break. A couple

Cup:
HT 1-0. Very one-sided - but Bollington couldn't find the net. N Mills
scored 2 very late goals.
HT =
4-0. 40 mins only. Soggy
pitch, but dry weather. Too strong for skillful younger side.

COMMENT Some excellent performances. Always looked the best
team, with Liam attracting much attention. The final was disappointing, as a
physically strong team achieved a shut out against tiring legs.

as clear chances were not taken at 1-0 up.

COMMENT Good form. Faced 2 teams from Runcorn (Venga &
Sporting C) with aggressive and noisy parents, making Bollington popular with
neutrals. Easy
QF, but in SF couldn't hold 1-0 lead from first 20 seconds. Liam equalized a
couple of mins from end of normal time to take into extra time. The flat
performance in the final was probably due to loss of adrenalin in previous
penalty shoot out.

COMMENT Hot unsheltered day. Convincing in group until last game. Straightforward quarter final but epic semi final… scored in injury time of golden goal time. Allegations rife that Park YFC were Wrexham School of Excellence and White Bear were Chester School of Excellence. Tight final swung to White Bear when they scored with their first shot on about 4 mins.

Shaun Foster Neil ??? COMMENT Warm sunny afternoon. Some very good performances
following excellent win in first match. Controversy raged when Signal walked off
following head injury not immediately tended due to action in goal mouth. Even
more controversy from Rose Hill when they objected to the rule eliminating them
from the final in favour of Bollington. Fairly beaten in final by a good team.
Jason taken to hospital following clash in last two minutes of final.
